เพื่อนๆ พี่ๆ น้องๆ หนูๆ บางครั้งที่อ่านประโยคภาษาอังกฤษไม่ว่าจะบนอินเทอร์เน็ต หนังสือเรียนก็จะมีคำย่อ เช่น we'll, who's ถ้าคนที่ไม่รู้ก็ งง สิครับ หรือบางคนไม่เคยเรียน หรืออาจจะเคยเรียนแต่มันคำที่ไม่เคยเจอ มีนแน่ครับ ลำพังเขียนเต็มบางคำก็แปลไม่ได้ก็มี ในบทนี้ เรามาดูกันว่า ภาษาอังกฤษมีคำย่ออะไรบ้าง นะครับ คำย่อในภาษาอังกฤษ เขาใช้คำว่า contraction ซึ่งก็แปลว่า การหด, การจำกัด, ย่อ
